What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an entirely natural state of the mind - a completely natural phenomenon that has been used successfully for thousands of years.
As a Therapist I will help guide you into a totally natural state that will allow your mind to achieve calmness & relaxation together with increased concentration.
Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness so your senses will be more alert than usual. You will be in a relaxed state and in total control.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy uses Hypnosis as a tool to deliver positive therapeutic change to the belief system. By working together I can help you bypass the concious critical state of mind and work directly with the subconcious mind, managing any self limiting beliefs, issues or worries and creating positive change for a better future.
Hypnotherapy can help to alleviate fears or phobias, change behaviour patterns, control IBS, manage stress and anxiety, cope with exam nerves, stop smoking, increase confidence and many other issues.
The therapy process will be achieved through Suggestion Therapy. Suggestion Therapy is positive suggestion based and tailored specifically for you. We are able to change for the better the initial behaviour pattern that the subconcious has learnt and direct the thought process to act / react differently empowering you to make the changes that you wish to make.

Hypnosis is a totally natural state that we all go in and out of several times a day - It is a totally natural phenomenon. There is no such thing as a hypnotised feeling as everyone experiences it differently - you will be in a relaxed state but completely aware of everything that is going on - your senses will actually be heightened and you will be in total control.
Can anybody be hypnotised?
The answer is yes, and no. Everyone can be hypnotised, theoretically, so there’s no physical reason why everyone can’t be put into a hypnotic state. But there may be psychological reasons that someone is resistant to being hypnotised which might make it very difficult for that person to relax enough to enter a true hypnotic state. Usually people who are certain that they can’t be hypnotised have a deep seated need for control and think that if they allow themselves to be hypnotised they will be giving up control so they will never allow themselves to relax enough to get to the hypnotic state.
Can you get stuck in hypnosis?
No defintitely not - if you wanted to bring yourself out of hyonosis you would easily do so.
Can you be made to do things you do not want to do?
No -Hypnosis does lower inhibition but you remain in total control at all times - you will not go against your moral code. Hypnosis cannot take charge of anybody's mind - your senses will be more alert & aware than usual. You will only say what you want to say or do what you want to do because you are in control.
What is the difference between the Stage Hypnotist and a Hypnotherapist?
The stage hypnotist uses hypnosis for entertainment purposes only. - A Hypnotherapist helps the client achieve something they want to achieve or stop doing something that they can't manage to stop on their own so that they can live their life in a better way. Stage hypnosis is fun, enjoyable and entertaining for an audience.
Will I tell you all my secrets?
You will only say what you want to say - remember you are in total control. You cannot be made to say or do anything that you do not want to do. You will not divulge anything you do not wish to - you will only say and do what you want to.
How does it work?
Hypnosis works by bypassing the conscious critical faculty of the mind thus enabling the subconscious and conscious parts of the psyche to concentrate fully on a single concept or idea and if both parts are in agreement & the subconscious can see it is beneficial and you truly desire it then fundamental change will occur.
